On June 26th, I made a personal appearance at Saks Fifth Avenue in New York City for their Brushes with Greatness beauty event. During the event, I demonstrated makeup and skincare from Cle De Peau Beaute, and was interviewed by Alexander Patino (@PatinoBlog) about a major must-have item.
Visit the official Saks blog, Saks POV, to get the skinny on summer skincare from me, and a mascara pick from my pal, celebrity makeup Ricky Wilson, from Dior. http://www.sakspov.com/beauty/brushes-with-greatness-2014-expert-beauty-tips-and-product-picks/

Looking for that perfect shade of red for this 4th of July weekend? Nothing says classic beauty like a red lip, and there’s one shade with a patriotic past. During WWII, women would wear red lipstick when they went to work in the factories. It was a show of patriotism, and support for their husbands, brothers, and fathers who were fighting overseas. TeeWii.com asked me to share my favorite red lipstick, and I’ve got the perfect shade for the upcoming holiday weekend and beyond.

I’ve tried to share useful tips and tricks, but for the past 12 years that I’ve worked as a makeup artist, I’ve tried to avoid giving women rules on how they should wear makeup. I try to offer techniques, tricks, and ideas, but rules are another thing altogether. I think it’s time that all of us come up with a new way of thinking about rules…”
